First Growth Properties, LLC (“First Growth”), a New York based private equity firm, announces the completion of its latest retail project located at 1640 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, Connecticut.

First Growth is a diversified private investment vehicle.  The Company’s primary holdings are based outside of Connecticut.  First Growth’s affiliated companies have real estate holdings in Los Angeles, New York, Houston, Wixom, Michigan, Rochester Hills, Michigan and the greater New Haven markets.

The company has two primary investment concentrations:

(1)        investments in large middle market businesses with revenues in the $25,000,000 to $300,000,000 revenue size;

(2)        real estate holdings throughout the United States in the office, light industrial and retail segments.

First Growth portfolio companies own some of the more successful restaurant sites in the greater New Haven area.  For example:  Mt. Carmel Center in Hamden, the home of Luce Ristorante and 93 Whitney Avenue, the location of Caseus.

First Growth announced the execution of a ten year lease with Park Central Tavern, LLC.  Park Central opens on April 21st, at 1640 Whitney Avenue, Hamden.  The site was acquired in August of 2008 and underwent a $2,000,000 renovation which was completed this week.  (www.parkcentraltavern.com)

First Growth also announced that its Texas affiliate has obtained construction financing to commence construction of a thirteen acre light industrial business park on a site adjacent to the entrance to George Bush International Airport in Houston.  Construction is schedule to commence in June of this year.
