It is interesting that during this recession/economic slowdown there are some retailers that are roaring into our area. Some retailers are popping up all over New Haven County at an alarming rate. While most businesses are just trying to stay afloat these guys don’t seem to be phased by the economy. Here is a look at a few:
Pocket Wireless: They have probably opened the most retail stores in all of CT in 2009 (13 According to Business New Haven). They are all over the place and not even opened for business yet. Pocket sells flat rate wireless service. They are now in New Haven on Dixwell, Orange St, Whitney Ave and in locations all around the area
Aldi Supermarket: There are now 14 Aldi’s across CT. In New Haven County they are in West Haven, New Haven, and Wallingford. Aldi operates 8078 stores all over the world. The West Haven store marked Aldi’s 1000th store in the United States.
